British Airways introduces e-learning programme.

British Airways has introduced a new e-learning programme dubbed “British Airways Academy”. The programme is a new  experience that all travel consultants have been invited to join. The online academy which aims to improve the British Airways product commenced this month and will run until October 31, 2012. Commenting on the e-learning programme, Faith Chaitezvi BA Country Commercial Manager said, “The Travel consultants will find this programme interesting and fun to engage, because we have categorized it into four sequential membership levels for which the first 10 graduates will win prizes. The categories include Blue, Bronze, Silver and Gold. “Blue” is a default level assigned to every member, “Bronze” is assigned upon successful completion of 3 modules, “Silver” to a successful 6 modules and “Gold” for 8 modules, which is the total number of modules to be completed in the programme. At the completion of each module an e-certificate is awarded” said Chaitevzi. “British Airways endeavors to provide all the necessary tools to invest in its customers’ flying expectations, that’s why programmes like the e-learning is vital to keep our travel consultants well versed with the our product-line. The e-learning programme will also be a refreshing tool for our travel consultants to keep them abreast of the airline dynamics,” she added.

The amazing prizes will include BA merchandise, mobile credit vouchers, movie vouchers and spa treatments. She added, “However the overall winner for Bronze will receive a gift voucher worth Ushs 500,000 (five hundred thousand Uganda shillings), whereas the silver and Gold levels each will receive an Apple Ipad. However, the high light of the prize giving for the “BA Academy 2012 winner” who will be picked from the Gold members only; will win 2 Club World return tickets from Entebbe to London.”

To elaborate more on the qualification process, Chaitezvi said, “The system will automatically select winners using a built in tool for finding winners from all participants who have completed the most training courses with the least number of attempts.
